When a girl she is a Princess; when married she is a Queen but the kingdom given to her is not always worth living in. What should she do at such hard testing times – break down, cry, yell or let it be and try to adjust, compromise, fit in, make space for self and wear that artificial smile for the rest of the world and hide her pains deep inside.
Really! NOoooooo.
Gone are the times when a woman was considered weak and for once, she resonated with that school of thought. Times have changed or should I say, she herself has changed and brought the change around her. She neither is a symbol of weakness nor is she a billboard.
[su_highlight background=”#d399ff”]The most beautiful accessory a woman can ever wear is Self-Reliance.[/su_highlight]
- Train yourself,
- Change your taste, and
- Learn from those who have gone before.
- Poor taste is worse than poverty.
Wear sensible shoes and avoid drama. Take good care of you, drink lots of water, and celebrate. Invent your own life. Change often. Change is good. Disconnect sometimes, do a digital detox:
- Get out in nature,
- Move,
- Take the stairs,
- Spend some time with self,
- Switch off your mobiles,
- Laugh,
- Be mindful of what you eat,
- Learn to say ‘NO’. NO is a complete sentence.
Have some ambition, learn something new, when presented with opportunities lean in. Leave some proof behind of your existence. Try to meet people in person. Be tactile. Be silly. Stop hiding behind the internet. Be financially independent.
Sometimes the best medicine is just to laugh until you cry and sometimes the greatest wisdom comes from accepting you will just never know why. Sometimes smiling is the greatest act of defiance and sometimes asking for help is the most meaningful example of self-reliance.
